The HJ knife was produced in 1933. Initially, all members of the organization had the right to carry a knife, regardless of their rank. The knife was ceremonial and was intended to be worn with the dress uniform. In 1937, the commander's cutlass began to be issued, it could also be worn by members of the organization and German Youth, but after successfully passing a special certification. The first blades were engraved on the blade (Blood and Honor), then" Baldur von Schirach's", (facsimile of Chairman von Schirach).
