Luftwaffe Presentation Artificial Damascus Sword

This amazing sword by EF Horster has the Germanic saying which is engraved on the blade and translates to ” He who does not delight in a gleaming sword a falcon in flight a proud horse and a beautiful women does not have the proper spirit in his body”. The damascus is perfect though it is artificial, the rosebud pattern is outstanding. Retains original blue washer and has some minor scuffs, but the leather is excellent. Only minor edge wear on lower half of scabbard. Fittings have patina in a nice dark color. The upper fitting on the back is engraved to the Commander of Reconnaissance Group 15. The town is just east of Stutgart. Truly a magnificent piece.
